Thank you to everyone who came out to see us at Waltham Mills Open Studios this past weekend. It is such a great annual event celebrating art and community! I was excited to welcome new visitors—and so glad to see many familiar faces. We had great conversations about the building, about monotype, and also the challenges and rewards of working with plaster. The usually quiet working spaces buzzed with energy, shaking us out of our comfort zones into the public eye. Although we tend to be a reclusive bunch, the weekend is a reminder that our art is for sharing; the curiosity and enthusiasm of others fuels us through the winter months long into the new year. I was overwhelmed by the support I felt, and am deeply grateful to see a number of my pieces find new homes outside the studio.
